Dr Akbar has 16 years of Postgraduate experience in different fields of medicine having worked in a variety of different settings including far-flung parts of Australia like Port Hedland.

His areas of interest are Mental Health, Skin Cancer medicine, Travel medicine, Women’s Health, Paediatrics and Geriatrics.

Dr Akbar has successfully attained specialist qualifications in General Practice & Public health.

He has also completed further studies in the field of Skin Cancer Medicine.
